Southwest Harbor sign, welcoming people to town, Top of Carroll's Hill on west side, Donor's note "This sign was commissioned by the selectmen around 1990. Built and installed by Alice Smith of Pretty Marsh. It was replaced by the sign that now is at the top of Carroll's Hill. I found the sign in the bushes behind the new sign. I took it to my storage shed so it would not degrade further in the woods."
