Torrey, who is stationed in France, writes Farley wishing her a Merry Christmas and saying that he hopes she won't forget about him. The front of the postcard features American troops carrying instruments and marching down the Avenue President Wilson in Paris, France on July 4, 1918.
Everett Torrey was born in 1895. Torrey was drafted during World War I in May 1918, and discharged in August 1919 after sustaining an injury during the war. After he was discharged, Torrey and Reta Farley were married. Everett died in 1969 and is buried in Mt. Height Cemetery in Southwest Harbor.
